SL3: Scrolling panel renders differently in different browsers

Aug 13, 2018

I have a problem using the scrolling panel. I have placed a text field on it, and added a standard button at the bottom of the scroll. I then publish this file, and get different results:

  • Viewing on Chrome and Firefox show the scrolling field correctly.
  • Viewing on Microsoft Internet Explorer or Edge shows an extra 60% or so of white space at the bottom of the scrolling area.

I don't think I'm doing anything special. The scrolling panel is on the root of the slide - the font used is Arial 24 normal - the button doesn't seem to have any strange height issues - the text field ends where it is supposed to.

If this issue isn't figured out, I will probably have to break up the content into several slides and not use the scrolling panel. That might be the end result anyway, but in any case I would like to know what's up.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for reaching out and sharing the details of what you are experiencing.

This is an issue we are aware of and we have documented here.

If you have Flash enabled in these browsers and publish your content Flash first with HTML5 fallback, you may be able to avoid the issue. Of course, it looks like you already have a solution that would work just as well.
