SL360: Reorder slide numbers changes triggers to "next slide"
Sep 19, 2021
I have a large S360 course where I want the automatic slide numbers to appear in (roughly) the same order the slides will be presented. When I finish adding all of the slides to a scene, I can renumber them by dragging them to the slide I want them to be numbered after in Story view. This works great. However...
When I do that, the "When the user clicks Next jump to slide..." trigger automatically resets to "next slide," even though I have already defined the target slide by name. This becomes problematic when there is branching within the scene or when I want to be completely sure the correct next slide is defined. Basically, I have to go into every slide and re-define the target slide.
Any workarounds on this, or should I submit a change request?

To my knowledge, that has never happened before. I have always used "Jump to specific slide name" to protect my slide order from changing when the slides are renumbered by dragging.
Have you recently installed a new update? This should definitely reported.
