SL360 - Triggers to jump to specific spots in video

Just wondering if there is a way to allow create functionality that would allow a user to jump forward or back in a video using keyboard or triggers?

The scenario for this would be instances where I want to have video, but don't want the native and limiting playhead and controls. I can create my own buttons to play, pause, stop, replay, display/hide CC but there is no way to allow "scrubbing" or "seeking" in the video.

I did notice that if I am using keyboard navigation and I tab to the native progress indicator for a video, I can jump forward and back using the arrow keys.

But once I remove the native video player, this is no longer possible.
