Slide layouts and text box widths changing on their own?

Hello all! I've now encountered this issue several times: Some of the slide layouts suddenly change on their own in files that I've been working on for a while. It always seems to be the first slide of a section that suddenly switches from, say, Title Slide layout to the Blank layout, and always projects that I've been working on for a while and have saved multiple versions of.
I've also noticed that text boxes will sometimes go from having multiple lines of text in them to suddenly becoming one line of text that's like 4000px wide.
Both are easy enough fixes - just switching the layout back and adjusting text box widths and positioning - but very irritating and a waste of time. Has anyone else experienced either of these issues?

Sorry to hear you're experiencing erratic behavior in Storyline! I'm happy to help troubleshoot. I have yet to encounter this on my end or see similar reports in our community, so the problem may be specific to your installation.
If you're already working on your local drive, try running these steps to fix possible installation issues.
