Slide Master is Showing through on Another Slide
Oct 21, 2016
This is somewhat complicated but here goes nothing. I have Master Slide with menu buttons. Also, a lot of the logic (ie. triggers) is behind the Master Slide. One logic is to change the state of the menu buttons to have "Completed" shown under the menu when the module is complete. My problem is that when, for instance, module 1 is complete and then I go to module 2 (separate slide but based on the master template) the "completed" state shows through. I don't want this. I've tried to cover it up with a white rectangle without success. So, I want the "Completed" state to show on the main screen where I have the menu buttons but not on the module 2 or beyond screens.
Hope that I haven't caused people to severely scratch their heads on this. Thanks for any suggestions!

Oh no Paul! I remember working with you here (and his file is there for anyone that would like to assist).
Why didn't the white rectangle work for you?
I do look forward to seeing what the community can come up with here.
Do you have an updated file to share so that we can understand what you are referring to by the 'completed state shows through'?
Hi,
it´s hard to understand what you are seeing and what you want to do. Could you maybe share a screenshot or a sample file? Do you have a completed state for each menu point or just one for all? I fyou have one for all, maybe you should use a different master slide for the other modules.
Thanks for your help folks. I've attached a Word file which I think will explain this further.
I tried the white rectangle without any luck. Perhaps it is the way I'm doing it. I do place it on the top layer.
Here is a mock up. I was able to cover it with a white rectangle.
Russell & Leslie,
Not sure why the white rectangle wasn't working before. It works great now! Thanks for your help everyone!!! You guys are awesome.
Haha! No worries Paul, glad it's working for you now. Thanks for popping in with an update.
