Slide triggers not working

Sep 09, 2019

Hi

I urgently need some assistance in getting an explainer video project finished. I have attached the file for your perusal.

I created a screencast video using storyline and have edited to show detailed content as the user "moves through the dashboard". I have added 2 audio clips. The second audio clip is triggered to start as soon as the first audio clip finishes so that there is continuous soundtrack for the duration of the video...This works fine. The problem is that the video inserted into the slide completes with a remaining minute (plus) of audio file still playing whilst there is no activity on the screen. I have set a trigger to jump to the next slide when the video media completes, but this is not working....I then set a new trigger to jump to the next slide when the timeline reaches 420 (7 minutes, which is the length of the video inserted) and the problem still occurred...it simply stays on the current side until the audio clip ends....there MUST be a way to resolve this? I have tried several different trigger options that could potentially resolve this matter but am getting nowhere. I have already contact the support team and received a response, but unfortunately it didn't address the issue. Essentially, I would like the main slide containing the video to move onto the final slide once the video has completed (and have the 2 audio files play back to back so there is a continuous soundtrack for the duration of the video) Please help!

Your urgent assistance is much appreciated.

Hello Brian

Thank you for your reply. I managed to resolve the issue.

Just a note...I have logged several discussions in the past couple weeks and each time I attach the file something goes wrong with the Captcha and then it submits the discussion without the attachments. I have also seen this on other discussions that have been logged in the past couple months...perhaps there is a bug in the system?

Warm regards

Nicole

Hi Nicole,

The Captcha is a part of our spam prevention processes, so it sounds like that's causing difficulty for you only when uploading a file? I can't replicate this behavior on my account, but I'd like to have our web team take a look at what you're running into. Is it possible that you can you take a Peek of the problem?
