How can you make a slide go to the next slide after a slider has been moved to any number on the slide. The user has to respond to a question by sliding the slider to an answer that they believe is the answer. The next slide has the answer for them.

See attached a quick example of how this might work. The slider is on the slide master and navigates to a slide when the slider thumb is released.

How is the trigger set - or how did you do this?
The triggers too are located on the slide master.
