Slides advance automatically (slide setting is set to "By User")

Aug 17, 2021

Hi there,

I received this file from a colleague and there's a problem with two of the slides (slide 5 and 6). These are open question slides, but for some reason, they advance almost instantly. I can't figure out why.

I've tried these things:

- Base layer properties: Slide advances is set to 'By User'
- There are no triggers on the slide that make it advance
- There are no triggers in the master slide

In the file, you can see that I've removed most of the pictures and video to reduce file size.

I hope you can help me out. Thanks!

Best,

Bobby

Hi, Bobby,

There was a known issue in which a hidden advance trigger would be added when slides were duplicated. The issue and the fix are explained in this post and its comments:

The issue shouldn't re-occur if you update to the latest version of Storyline.

Hi Bobby and welcome to E-Learning Heroes. 😊

Thank you for sharing what you are experiencing in your project file. I'm getting a similar issue to what Joseph shared above, but I see that Judy was able to share a link to a similar conversation.

In Update 54 (Build 3.54.25674.0), we fixed a couple of bugs related to a hidden trigger getting added to slides.

Now all you need to do is update Storyline 360 in your Articulate 360 desktop app! If you run into any issues, please don't hesitate to ask for help in this discussion or a support case.
