Slides/Layers randomly disappearing/deleted

Hi everyone,

I've got a strange one for you!  My colleague is experiencing the strangest thing - multiple times now she's lost work for no apparent reason. For example, when adding an image to a slide, after pasting it the entire scene disappears and she's taken back to a previous scene. Just now, clicking the new layer button to add a third layer resulted in the entire slide disappearing. I've never seen anything like this, I think it must be Storyline and not a hardware issue since nothing like this happens when she's working in other software on the same machine.

This has been happening intermittently for days now - she's restarted her machine several times.  Has anyone experienced anything like this??

I'm having a similar issue. Looks like a Storyline bug to me. Slides just disappear into thin air, not deleted, and strange things happening between the 5 scenes in terms of where the slides are located.  I've read up, and the key suggestion (e.g., the only 'fix' Storyline seems to suggest) is to 'import' the presentation into a new Storyline presentation. Sounds quite buggy to me and this has been a frustrating exercise (quite painful considering the cost of the program). I started with one of their built-in templates. Anyone else have this issue?

I'm sorry you're running into this issue! Have you tried a repair of Storyline 360, as Wendy mentioned above?

Hi Connie,

Yes, a repair does include a full uninstall and reinstall of Storyline. You shouldn't have to do it that often unless something goes haywire during an update (which Storyline 360 updates are released about monthly).
