Hi Tom,

Our team has been investigating some instances of slow publishing to Video, and we're still looking into the primary cause and fix.

It would help to know a bit more about your course -

  • What's the overall .story file size?
  • Do you include a lot of audio, video or other media?
  • Are there any blank slides or slides that users bypass quickly (such as those with a very short timeline)?
  • How did you set the slide's to jump to the next slide? By timeline or a trigger action?

Thanks so much in advance for sharing anything you can! I'll keep you posted on what else our team figures out too.

Hey Tom. I'm excited to let you know that we just released update 19 for Storyline 360! It includes new features and fixes - check them all out here.

One of the fixes addresses an issue where publishing to video was taking longer than normal to complete and would intermittently crash in the process.

Here’s how you can update Storyline 360 to take advantage of everything the latest release has to offer. Let me know how you make out!
