I have sound on my intro slide that plays automatically when the course begins, however, I also have layers on the same slide that I don't want user to be able to click until intro is finished. Help!
See attached a quick example of one possible option. I'm using a True/False variable that starts out as False and is set to True when the media (intro audio file) completes. The layer buttons only function if the variable I True. Hope that makes sense.
Many thanks for the quick response! I figured out another way too! In the timeline I was able to leave my sound and background pic's in place and drag the other layers to the end of the recording. the layers show up at the end of the recording for selection.

Sure that's another way. As always in Storyline, there are at least 10 different ways to achieve the same goal!
