When I insert a scrolling panel in Storyline 2 it seems to add a small amount of space at the bottom of the panel. Like default padding or a margin. Is there any way to either delete this or reduce it? I have an image above and below the scrolling panel and when you move the scroll bar down to reveal the whole of the image in the scrolling panel, it needs to appear as if it's joined to the outer image, but there's a space.
I haven't seen this issue mentioned elsewhere in the forums, so thanks for bringing it to our attention. I added an image to a scrolling panel in a new file, and I was able to see the extra space below the image, as well.
From here, I’ll meet with my team to take a closer look, so that we can verify if this is a bug. Sometimes my team catches errors in my logic and we don’t have a bug after all. Of course if that’s the case, I’ll let you know!
Depending on priority and risk, some bugs can be fixed very quickly, while other bugs take longer to resolve. I’ll let you know as soon as we have an update. Thanks so much again for letting us know about this, and I’m sorry if it’s slowing you down.

Are you seeing this happen when you view your content in Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge?
Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge have a known issue displaying scrolling panels in HTML5 output. Both browsers often add extra padding to the bottom of scrolling panels so there can be a significant amount of blank space after your content.
Until Microsoft fixes the problem, you can avoid it by viewing the Flash version of your content or switching to another HTML5 browser, such as Google Chrome or Firefox.
I actually published to CD and that's where I see the issue. In Preview mode it looks fine, but not when published. Instead of using images, I put text in the scrolling panel. But there appears a wide gap between the last line of the paragraph and the end of the scrolling panel - this gives off the impression that there are more text further down when there isn't.
Ah, thanks for clarifying that. You'll also see extra space at the end of scrolling panels in CD-published output, since it relies on Internet Explorer.
Has a fix been found for this? I am using SL360 and the issue occurs before publishing, which rules out being IE or Edge. The scroll box adds a space whilst still building and it is causing me unnecessary work to fill the space on this particular piece of work.
It sounds like you're seeing a different issue than the one mentioned in this discussion. If you don't mind sharing a sample slide with us, that will give us a better idea of what you're seeing.
If that works for you, you can upload your file privately to our support team here. We'll give it a test and let you know what we find!
We'd love to take a look at your file and narrow down the exact cause. Can you share it with us here in E-Learning Heroes or privately by sending to our Support Team? Either way, once our team is done testing they'll delete the file from their computers.
Let us know how you'd prefer to share and then we can work on finding the solution!

Hi Alyssa
Thanks; this is what I see when I insert an image.

Hi Wendy
I didn't attach an image in my reply. I probably should have worded my reply:
I see exactly the same thing as you.
Sorry for the confusion.
Hi,
This has been 11 months ago. Any update on this? I'm facing similar issue in SL3 too.
Thanks.

I found that changing the publishing output from HTML5/Flash to Flash/HTML5 fixed this issue when using IE. Hope this helps!!
I'm experiencing the same issue with space at the bottom of the scroll bar, but I'm using Chrome. Has a fix been found?
