I'm working on a slide at the moment where we have marker icons that display text when they're clicked.
However, when previewing the slide the spacing seems change slightly, particularly when the word begins with 'W'. The 'W' seems to separate itself from the rest of the word, which looks like there is an extra space where it shouldn't be. I have attached a screenshot to show what I mean.
Does anyone know why this happens and how it can be changed?
Hi Sophie! What version of Storyline are you utilizing and what font? Would you be able to share a sample file for us to take a look at? I'm not seeing this issue in my testing.
I've seen a similar issue reported to our QA team in regards to odd spacing with Arial and 8 pt font - it seems to behave better if you are to use 9 or 10 pt, or even a different font style. Are you able to make these adjustments as a workaround?
I'll include this thread in the report filed with our QA team, but I don't have any additional information to share at this point.
Glad that worked for you Sophie. I only see a few users in that report - so I can't speak to how often it happens - but it's a simiple enough fix hopefully and will make it a little easier to read with a larger font. :)

I am on Storyline 1 and using the Arial font.
I've attached the slide in the screenshot for you. It looks fine on the screen but when previewing the spacing looks odd.

I just changed the font to 9pt and it seems to have worked. Thanks so much for that tip!
