I am trying to use a spin & shrink Exit Animation on a text box with a variable. However, when I preview it, it just disappears. Any reason why this is happening?
And I have the same problem with the Shrink animation.
NOTE: The other animations (with the exception of "shrink" and "spin and shrink")seem to work fine with a custom variable.
I don't believe this is related to the variable. I believe this is what "shrink" does...shrinks away to nothing. Does the same in PPT (the shrink and turn animation).
Sorry if I've misinterpreted...please shout out with any questions.
I uploaded a video. Would you mind taking a look at it? I am wondering if my computer is the only one having problems displaying this effect. But the vid should show you exactly what I am seeing
Tx for the video. I didn't understand what you were getting at regarding the reference to a text entry vs a plain text box. So, two things:
1. IF you add a border around the text box (or a fill) containing the text entry, you will see the spinning.
2. Although this seems puzzling, I "sort of" get it. Because this isn't "real" text. It's sort of like virtual text. That is, it's generated from the text entry variable, so it seems it can't animate in the way that text can. Clearly, that's my "layman's" explanation . A techie would have a real explanation (not a virtual one ).
