Start screen issue

Hello community

I'm struggling to work out why, when published, my storyline project starts with a screen I can't see? Instead of the one I've built. When I hit the 'play' button it moves to my home screen, but I have no idea why it doesn't just go to my screen....HELP!

Hi, Marion,

There are multiple posts in the Forum about this. It happens when the first slide has audio and/or video. It's actually the result of browser settings that prevent auto-playing (which, in many other cases, can be desirable).

One fix I've seen elsewhere is to add a quick, blank slide at the beginning that auto advances to the real first slide. When there's no media on that first slide, the browser won't block the course from playing.
