State Change from Results Slide

Hi all,
I have 5 scenes on a Starting Scene. Then there is a "Home" slide for the topic with several lessons to complete. Each lesson needs a passing score of 100%. My question is how do I set up the variable on the Results slide to manage each separate lesson? Here are the screen shots.
The user picks a role:
And then must pass all of the modules at 100%. Ideally I would like to add a Google Form once all lessons are 100% (and possibly add a check mark as they are completed), but any feedback on managing these pieces would be most welcome!
Thank you,
Dan

Hi Dan,
I'm not sure what you mean in regards to "manage the variable on the results slide" but you could use a master results slide to combine all the scores or ensure the user passes each one as detailed here:
If you're tracking other result slides, choose how the results should be calculated:
Thanks Ashley! I was hoping to add a check mark to each rectangle after a score of 100% was reached, and was thinking that adding a variable to the Results slide would make this feasible. Is that attainable with the directions that you shared?
Many thanks!
Dan
Hi Dan,
Sure - you'll need to set up an additional state for each of those boxes and I'd use the visited state (based on how it'll behave here). As the article describes you'll need to use the "resume saved state" option to ensure the user picks up where they left off and sees the same state of the slide.
Okay thanks any thoughts on how can I tie the 100% score to the visited state?
If you only want it to change based on the score of 100% you'll need to set up some triggers. What I would do is place a adjust variable trigger on the success layer of the accompanying results slide - so that it changes "RectangleOneVisitied" from false to true when the timeline starts on the slide layer. You'll then need to add a trigger to adjust the visited state of the object based on the value of the variable being equal to True.
Thanks so much for the help Ashley!
I have a a layer trigger on the success layer of the Results slide set to true when the timeline starts (default is false). And, I have this added as an object trigger for the rectangle:
I still get the visited state when I click to any slide in the project, though.
Thoughts?
Thanks,
Dan
Hi Dan,
I wouldn't use the "variable changes" trigger - as that's looking for the variable to change, and it's probably getting tripped up in terms of looking for the change which is probably happening on your layers? That won't be reported back to fire the trigger - as the variable needs to change on that slide. You may want to look into when timeline starts or something similar based on the condition - if the variable is set outside of the main slide, you'll be able to revisit the slide and have the checkmarks appear even if the slide is set to "reset to initial state" which allows the timeline to start a new.
So I think this is the way to go to get the desired check mark on the object when the user achieves 100% on the module (the completed state has a check mark on it):
I appreciate the help Ashley!
Dan
Looks about right Dan, glad you got it working the way you needed!
