Attached is my file I need the text "select a tab above to learn more" to appear in the white box on the screen. When I hover over any of the tabs at the top, the message only needs to display the hover state content for the tab. Instead, the hover state content is showing AS WELL AS the navigation message. I tried a true/false variable, but couldn't get it to work. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you, community!
I just moved the instruction text lower in the timeline so it sits behind the nav buttons and added a rectangle to each of the nav button's hover states to cover the text. See attached. Look ma, no variables!
Thanks Michael! Your solution works, but what I figured out is that what I'm wanting to do works with layers, but not states. Oftentimes, layers and states replicate functions but in this case, adding my hover state to a layer actually allows me to accomplish what I'm wanting to do. Thanks again and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Hi Jonathan, great that you came up with a solution that works best for you. As always with Storyline, there are several ways to achieve the same end result :-)
