step-by-step screen record issue

I'm having an issue with the record screen feature in Storyline 360. Specifically with the step-by-step feature. for steps that require the end user to enter data, there is a blank screen instead of the appropriate screenshot. is there a fix for this? I've already done all the updates available. screenshot included of the blank data entry slide.
