Step-by-Step Try Mode Troubleshooting

Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to create a prototype of a mobile software simulation and when I select "Step-By-Step slides and "Try mode steps" from the dropdown after recording the output is only one screenshot. It does not create slides. It is a 1 minute and 18 second recording so I'm doing something wrong here. The screen mirroring software I'm using is called Mirroring360 by Splashtop. I've searched the group and found Reflector4, but I didn't have luck with that one either. I have an iPhone 12 running iOS 16.6.1. A video online I was viewing recommended not using Chrome, but there is no browser involved for a mobile app. What am I missing here? Thanks!

Hey Drew
When using the mirroring software, are you navigating using the Computer and mouse or the phone?
The phone. I have multiple monitors active as well.
Are you able to navigate using the computer or is it just for viewing?
It's just for viewing. I tried to turn on tablet mode, but the computer can't do it. It is a Lenovo X1 Carbon
Since the action is taking place on the phone and not the PC, that is going to present a challenge. If you could mirror it in a way where the actions are taking place on the PC, you would be able to see the steps broken out.
Hi Drew,
Happy to chime in here!
Storyline 360 needs to properly recognize user input by detecting mouse clicks and keyboard strokes to generate the step-by-step slides. These elements aren't present in a screen mirroring setup because your device is effectively streaming the actions rather than allowing Storyline 360 to detect them.
Try creating the step-by-step slides directly on the computer where you have Storyline 360 installed and this should allow the slides to be properly created.
Hope this helps!
