Stop Audio on Review??
Jul 24, 2017
Hey everyone!
I'm doing my first courses based on quiz results rather than number of slides viewed. Here's the problem: I have narration on all base layers and slide layers, so when you go back to review the answers, both the base layer audio and the review slide layer audio play.
I need the base layer audio not to play.
Here's what I've thought of:
- Stop audio when they click submit...I need it to revert to original state when they re-visit the slide, so that doesn't really work.
- Hide audio on base layer when slide layer is revealed...Base layer audio isn't in the timeline on slide layers...
I'm thinking I could use a variable to toggle playing/stopping the audio, but I'm having trouble wrapping my head around it. Maybe adjust variable when timeline starts on slide layer and then stop audio when when the variable changes.
Has anyone run into this?

Hi James!
Great question and I have seen this come up in the forums before.
You should be able to accomplish this using a true/false variable. Check out this thread to get you started :)
Thanks Leslie! Thanks for the reference. I'll follow that :-)
