Stop "Submit interaction" from submiting to LMS

Jan 25, 2019

Hi there,

I have set up a small test. 4 questions. The idea is that the user have unlimited attempts at each question, and unlimited attempts at the quiz itself. If they answer incorrectly, they get to try the same question until its correct. Then the next question comes up. If the user answered correctly on all 4 questions, without any second tries, the quiz is passed. If he needed more than one attempt at any of the 4 questions, the quiz is reset and he has to take it again. Until he answers all 4 correctly at first attempt.

So far, so good. The problem however, is that once the user have answered these 4 questions, the results are submitted to the LMS and giving him a 100% score. Even though we have not reached the "submit results" slide yet. How do I prevent the course from completing, before we reach the result slide?

The score is 100%, because the user can not move on to next question before he answers correctly. This means he'll always have 100% correct after the last question, but he will be sent back to retry the test if he did not get it all on first attempts.

Looks like I have to remove the "Submit Interaction" trigger, and do a manual check to see if the right answers are selected on each question. Then manually trigger the Correct or Incorrect layer to show the respons, and simply go to next page if it is correct. Then let the result slide handle the submission (which was the plan all along, but I didn't know the submit interaction submitted to the LMS).
