Help! I have made some changes to my story file and I have to get it published ASAP! But every time I try to save it, I get a pop-up error box that says: "The project file could not be saved. Store must be open for this operation."
What store? I've never gotten this error before and I'm up against a serious deadline.
Thanks for sharing all that information here - and those error messages are the ones that have been reported to our QA team in regards to the saving issue. We're continuing to investigate the issue, and have documented as such here. Since it's been something our team has had difficulty reproducing, and inconsistent behavior among users too - we'd like to continue to gather as much information as possible. That article includes steps to send files to our Support engineers so that they can do a bit more digging and share with QA.
If you're able to go through those steps, please do so to assist our team as they continue to track down this issue. Once we have additional information to share it'll be posted here or if you've opened up a support case you'll receive communication via your case.
Storyline 2 Update 4 was released Friday, which included the following fixes:
Fixed issue where a project file couldn't be saved due to "Store must be open for this operation" error
Fixed issue where temp files weren't purging, which could prevent project files from saving
Fixed issue where Quizmaker '09 quizzes couldn't be imported with Flash Player 16 installed
