Storyline 1 Software Simulation

Nov 26, 2014

I'm working on my first software simulation course and I've hit a couple of roadblocks.

1) I want to insert a simulation in the middle of an existing scene.  I can only seem to insert it at the end of the scene or create a new scene.  When I try to move the 25 slides it creates to the middle of the scene everything goes wonky.

2) The right click trigger works in preview but not published.  When doing a published screencast in try mode - the right click doesn't work and the scene won't go forward.  What am I doing wrong?

Thanks so much for your help.  I have found most of my answers in the tutorials and discussions - but these two are stumping me!

1) User error and slow computer. Wonky meant that it would freeze in the middle of moving the slides.  Some slide moved, and some didn't.  I didn't catch on in the beginning and deleted some of the slides that didn't copy. And since my system was slowing down I accidently deleted slides that I hadn't even moved!  I decided my screencasts should be shorter, so that I was only moving 10 slides at a time.

2) I ran a smaller screencast and I'm still having an issue with the right click trigger.  I've attached a picture of the trigger panel.  It works fine when I preview, but nothing happens when I right click on the published story.

I'm not sure how to share just a slide - but I recreated the problem with an example.  The first slide needs a right click for the media screen recording action to occur.  It works in preview, but when published it doesn't recognize the right click.  We've tried it in both google chrome and internet explorer.  Is it possible our company's flash version is old?  We are on IE9.
