I am new to Storyline 2 and a a Storyline project produced by a developer for my company and when I try to open the project in Storyline 2, I receive a message that Storyline 2 can't open the project because it was created in a newer version of Storyline. What can I do to open the project?
sounds like file might be a SL360 file? If it is you won't be able to open and edit it in SL2.
I have both versions of SL so if you want to upload the file here (use the add attachment button at the bottom of the post) I can check it out for you.
Hello Lisa - Looks like Wendy has popped in to assist you here. She is correct, if the file was created in SL360, it will not be reverse-compatible in SL2.

Hello Lisa - Looks like you are replying to the forums via e-mail. This does two things - prevents your images and files from attaching and attaches your signature to the forums. If you were to share your file here in the forums, that is public, so sounds like you do not want to do that.
When you get this reply, feel free to click on 'View' vs 'Reply' and you can edit your responses above to remove your signature if needed. Even re-sharing your screenshots may assist as well - and you can do that via 'Add Attachment' right in the bottom left of the reply window.
If you wish to work with Wendy as you mentioned, you could utilize the 'Contact Me' option on her user profile.
You could also share your file privately with our support team here if needed.
sorry I missed this post yesterday and as Leslie said none of the images you attached via email have come through on the forum - do you still need help with your file or have you contacted support as I don't have a direct email from you?

I was actually able to open it by opening a blank project and then using File>Import. See below how the files actually open...

but when click on the import button, it won't complete the import process as I get this message (saying can't open).

I can send you my file, but I don't want my course to be shared and I wasn't sure where it would go if I attached it here.
