Can you share a screenshot of the error that you're seeing? That shouldn't be happening and you can run Storyline 2, 3 and 360 all on the same system. Files won't be backwards compatible with Storyline 3/360 to Storyline 2 though - could that be the error that you're seeing?
Thanks Terry - can you try closing all the Articulate programs on your computer and restarting the system entirely? Then try to install Storyline 360 and let me know how it goes!
If it's still not working correctly - I'll want to have you work with our Support Engineers so that we can dig into what is tripping up the installation!
Storyline (all versions) can be installed together but Studio is different as it's a Powerpoint add-on. You can only have one version installed - so it sounds like you may have Studio '13 or '09 installed? You could uninstall that to use the Studio 360 option.
Studio 360 has a lot of new features not present in Studio '13 or '09. You may want to review the comparison chart here. The big ones are access to Review, Content Library and of course our new HTML5 responsive player!
If you use the Studio tools (Presenter, Quizmaker, Engage), then Studio 360 will be a significant upgrade in terms of workflow and output. One example is the new Presenter timeline where you sync your audio, animations, and annotations. It provides for live scrubbing of the slide and is a really awesome time saver. It's one of my favorite new features!
Helpful thread. I have some original files created in Studio and need to edit in Studio before upgrading to SL2 or 360. What's the best way to work in Studio if I have all three installed on my computer? Ideally, I'd like to work in all three programs at different times. What's the best way to achieve this ability?
It sounds like you currently have Studio '13 installed on your computer, is that correct?
You can have Storyline 2 and Storyline 360 installed on the same computer side-by-side. However, when you install Studio 360, previous versions of Studio will be uninstalled automatically.
That being said, you can work in Storyline 2, Storyline 360, and Studio 360 concurrently. Does that make sense?

Hi Terry,
I did this not too long ago. You can install the 360 trial without uninstalling SL2.
Thanks Adam... it tells me that they can't run at the same time and SL2 is closed.
Hi Terry,
That does seem odd. I personally used the 360 trial to check out Rise. Then downloaded SL3 from here: https://articulate.com/p/storyline-3
I am able to have a version of SL2 and SL3 open at the same time without errors.
Maybe try to restart your computer?

Thanks Ashley... FYI... SL2 is not open when this message occurs.

Great... I will let you know.
Ashley... I got everything installed but Studio360 (see attached). Ideas?
