Hi Rebecca. I few things to check - make sure that you are working on your local drive and you may want to start fresh and import into a new project. In addition, you might have recorded screen casts using the Record Screen feature. If yes, you might still have them saved on the project file. You can delete unused recordings by clicking the record screen option, then select 'delete unused recordings'.
In addition to working on your local drive, you should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate). Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names (this includes spaces and underscores). Additional information regarding "Naming Files, Paths, and Namespaces" in Windows operating systems can be found in the below Microsoft article.
The published output in Storyline 2 allows for uncompressed videos and as such could be larger file sizes. This issue was discussed a bit further here between one of our Senior support engineers and a few super heroes - so it's got some good break down of what's happening. If you're seeing it in the .story file, you may want to take a look at doing a "save as" to a new file and if you've removed any videos or elements being sure to save and close, and reopen to check the file size, as the assets are only removed when reopening the project to allow you to use the "undo" button while still in the project.

Hope this helps. Thanks.
