Storyline 2, LearnDash & GrassBlade LRS

Dec 21, 2016

Hi,

I'm hoping to connect with someone that has a LearnDash & GrassBlade setup and uses Storyline 2 to produce eLearning modules.

We're currently setup using LearnDash as our LMS and are publishing our Storyline 2 courses as TinCan with statements successfully being recorded in GrassBlade.

We also have a workaround so that any variables populated in Storyline 2 are captured in GrassBlade.

I've looked over old threads about passing variables into Storyline 2 outputs on launch from the LMS/LRS but they always seem to reference SCORM whereas we're using TinCan.

Is it possible, for example to take a persons WordPress username, or some other WordPress metadata and pass it into the Storyline file on launch (assuming the user is logged in).

We'd also like to start pushing capabilities, looking into custom verbs & post_to_url triggers to see what is possible.

If anyone has any experience in passing WordPress metadata into Storyline 2 files or experience with LearnDash & GrassBlade it would be great to talk to bounce idea's around.

Thanks,
David

Hey David - this is a pretty diverse community, so hopefully someone will be able to chime in here and connect with you. I just wanted to mention that if you've seen users on other threads, you can also message them directly via the 'Contact Me' option on their user profile if you wish. Not everyone is plugged in and watching the forums regularly, so that may be helpful. Best wishes!
