Storyline 2 module running so slow in IE 11 but works fine in Chrome

Jun 22, 2018

Hiya,

We have an important module launching in the next fortnight, and we have discovered that it run so slow in IE that we actually can't launch it. The module works fine in Chrome, but the majority of the company used IE (11)

I have tested the via our LMS Kallidus, in both browsers.

Any help would be appreciated, I have looked in the discussions, but I cant seem to figure out how to publish just to flash??

Oh no, Helen!

Sorry for the sluggish behavior you're seeing. I'm glad it's working well in Chrome, but we want it to work well in Internet Explorer, too.

First, are you on the latest update of Storyline 2? To check, click the Help tab, then click About Storyline. You should see Update 13 there.

Storyline 2 publishes the Flash output by default. You can also check off the "Include HTML5 output" in the publishing options if you want to include HTML5. If you leave that option un-checked, it's as if you publish to Flash only.

Keep in mind though, since Flash is on it's way out, it's a good idea to include HTML5 when publishing. This ensures your learners can view the content if they view it in a browser without Flash.

Would you mind sharing the original file with me? I'd like to test it in Internet Explorer to get a better idea of what's going on here. Thanks!
