I'm a complete newbie to Articulate, Storyline and e-learning (first day today). I'm a Mac user, and trying it all for the first time. I have Parallels and Windows loaded, but when Storyline opens, it opens in microscopic size and I can't read it, let alone use it.
Does anyone know what the problem is? Any advice much appreciated! :-)
Just a thought, but if you have a relatively recent Mac, especially Macbook, then I assume you also have a retina screen. I am unsure whether Storyline is built to handle a retina screen well, so my first approach to set things right would be to fiddle with the screen resolution of your Mac, and see what happens.
You'll definitely want to look at the screen resolution as Attila mentions, as Storyline is set to work with a DPI setting of 96. Additionally, there are some best practices detailed here for working in Paralells and I hope that if there is another Mac setting I'm unaware of some of our other community members who use Macs can chime in!
That was really helpful. Thank you, Attila. I unchecked 'enable retina display' and it definitely improved. The screen is fuzzy, but at least it's a bit bigger!
Hahaha. Im sorry. I did not mean to offend you. Just now that some customers of me actually got that problem. The open up Storyline for the first time, see the story-view and complains about the size.
Glad to have been able to help, Samantha. :) The fuzziness is again an issue that comes from the app's incompatibility with certain screen types and resolutions, especially Retina type screens. Adobe (the "almighty" Adobe...) Muse has the same issue. Given the fact that Articulate is not really supposed to run natively on a Mac, we cannot complain, however, similar problems on the Microsoft Surface Pro tablet also tend to happen which is a less excusable scenario.
Ok, didn't need to stop the sharing! Thank goodness! Went to configuration of VM, hardware, and selected the display that is best for non-retina display. So glad that worked. Hope this is helpful to others who end up here.

Just a stupid question.
It's not the Story-view you are looking at.
It can feel quit small.

Thank you too, Ashley. I've not disabled 'Shared Profile' and the screen is both bigger and clearer. Many thanks to you both.
(No thank you to Jacob for the discouragement!)

Once again, sorry if it turns out wrong.

Thanks Samantha for the update and glad we could point you in the right direction!

Thanks Roxanne for sharing that information here and I'm glad you were able to get it set up.
This worked for me on Mac OS 10.10.3 with Parallels. Here is the setting for my Windows 7 VM (attached)
Thanks Shawn for sharing that here - and I'm not certain that folks are still subscribed but it may help others who come across this thread.
