Storyline 2 published product running slow

Hiya,

I have created an eLearning module using Storyline 2, with multiple videos and the whole project seems to be running slow (this has happened on a couple of modules).

I have troubleshoot the issue by looking at posts on here, but nothing has resolved the issue.

I have compressed the video/image/audio, remove most of the animation and imported the file into another storyline file.

But still no luck, the module works fine in the preview on Storyline, but when I upload to ScormCloud, it runs slow and lags in the videos.

I really don't want the module spoiled by the slowness any help would be appreciated.

Hi Helen,

Unfortunately it sounds like internet speed is the issue here. How big is your total published output? You may be able to cut down file sizes on videos some more but it sounds like you've already tried this.

Try playing your published output on your PC (open the "story_html5" file in your browser) without uploading to ScormCloud. Does it run smoothly then?

Do you mean clicking the view project? If so this also runs crazy slow, but we have had modules of similar sizes and not had an issue with it running slow?

Hi, Helen! Really sorry your courses are loading slowly – I'm happy to lend a hand!

I saw that you started two support cases with your .story files attached (also good idea on testing in SCORM Cloud!), in which my colleague, Robert, is having a look at your files. You should hear back from him shortly.

In the meantime, Danny brought up a good point on internet speed. Can you share the results of your speed test (simply click Go and then the Chainlink Icon after the test completes) and let us know what browser(s) you're experiencing the slow loading on? We'll be standing by!

Sorry for the delay in response.

I completed the module via the published output and them completed a speed test. I couldn’t use the site you provided as it’s block via our Desktop services, but I was able to use www.meter.net
