I see there is an update for Storyline 2, but I just want to make sure I am reading it correctly. This update is only for IOS 8...users correct? I don't need to update my Storyline 2 if I am not using this operating system.
You can see the list of all fixes here. The iOS8 issues are referring to viewing the published output, so if any of your users will be accessing the content on a device with iOS8 it would be a good idea to go through the update.
well I updated and now I keep getting error messages, particular when I am trying to use a trigger with a lightbox. It says that Articulate might shut down :( grrr...
I'm sorry to hear about the error messages. It's possible something occurred during the update, so please follow the repair steps indicated here. You'll also want to confirm you're working locally as described here.
