Storyline 2 Update 5 issue on adding "Jump to URL/file" Trigger

Hi everyone,

A few days ago I updated to the new version and found a serious problem using triggers:

By adding a trigger ("link to text" type) to the Action "Jump to file", if the file is at an internal network location (e.g.: \\SERVER\folder\file) the file is loaded correctly and by clicking "Check" it selects the correct file. The problem happens when I click OK to save: the address that is actually loaded eliminates the first of two forward slashes (\\) making the address invalid (e.g.: \SERVER\folder\file), and so the file is not loaded.

This is a basic and important feature and requires correction quickly.

Meanwhile, how can I revert to the previous product update, where this functionality was working correctly?

Hi Eliana,

Welcome to community.

SL2 Update 5 is evolved version to avoid such double slash issues that is why those initial double slashes are being removed from your trigger. Are you copy pasting that url in the field? If yes, I will advice you to add link by browsing document. Click on the 3 dots (...) right next to url field in the trigger window, and select document.
