I have a project I am working on in Storyline 2 which uses a series of short sequential video clips, with audio and triggers to change states interspersed. These work very well on Windows and Android devices, however on the iPad the short video segments repeat themselves automatically. I have changed the video options to play from trigger so I can control the timing, I have even put the following audio and actions onto a different layer with triggers to stop the first video, but have not been successful in stopping it
Hi, Doug -- I'm sorry to hear you are having difficulties on the iPad! Would you be able to share your file so we can publish it on our end and do some testing for you?
Christie, here it is. My only issue is the final short video on each slide or layer loops back to play again after it is supposed to complete and the Audio Voice over starts.
Hi, Doug -- I appreciate your patience while I tested your file. I was able to experience the same behavior that you described on my iPad, so at this point, I would like to go ahead and create/submit a ticket with our Support Team for further investigation of the matter. You will be hearing from one of our Engineers via email after they have had an opportunity to review your file. I plan to follow along with your case and will share updates here in the thread for others who may benefit.
Christie, I have heard from the support team, and have rebuilt the slide that is giving me the most trouble, I cannot send large files through my email so am posting it here.
Most of the issues are worked out by having each video on its own slide and starting it from a trigger, to start at the beginning of the slide timeline, and jump to the next slide when the media completes. However, before it jumps to the next slide, it still tries to loop back to the beginning of the video before jumping to the next slide so it is very choppy. I will probably rebuild the whole thing in Camtasia, interspersing the Voice Over into the video segments as needed so it is one long mp4 file and try to time the checkboxes using Storyline.
Hi, Doug -- Thanks so much for sharing your updated file, and I will be happy to let Ryan in Support know that he'll be able to download the new file from here in the thread. (I also added the contents of your message here to the ticket so that Support can continue to assist your with this matter). :)
Christie and Ryan, I have rebuilt the file and thought I would share the final results. Each of the small video segments was combined into a longer video with the audio Voice Over added into the video mp4 in Camtasia, then inserted back into Storyline and set to Play by Trigger, which is when the timeline for the slide starts. I then duplicated the slide with the video and changed triggers so the learner can replay the video if they need to. I set variables and triggers to keep track of which slides they could go back to.

And it is only on the iPad that this happens.
Thanks,
Doug
