I've read this article about audio / video on ipad http://www.articulate.com/support/kb_article.php?product=st1&id=pi9brbnrwyl2 but I can't make it work.
If I set slides to advance automatically, video in the slide doesn't start.
If I set "By User" the video starts.
- I have iPad 2 with iOS 6.1
- My Storyline evaluation copy is UPDATE 2: 1212.1412
It shuold work but it doesn't.
Any suggestion?
For my company this feature is essential to make a decision about this product.
From what you've described as your course setup, with the videos set to begin automatically, you're running into a known limitation of HTML5. Videos need to be triggered by the user in HTML5. You may also want to keep in mind that one only audio or video file can be played at the same time in HTML5.
but I don't think this a HTML5 problem, because with Chrome it seems to work.
The test setup is very simple: empty slides with only a video in each of them.
The problem is with iPad when I set the "Slide advances: Automatically".
I've read this article where it is said that this is a specific issue of Safrai on iPad, and can be solved by upgrading Storyline to its latest version (UPGRADE 2) and iPad to iOS 6.
I've have Storyline UPGRADE 2 and iPad with iOS 6.1, but it doesn't work.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I don't know what.
