Regarding compatibility, your Storyline 3 projects will always open in 360. Your Storyline 360 projects will open in Storyline 3, as you commented, if they don't include any Storyline 360-only features. You'll get an error message if they do. Right now, the two products are in step with each other!
Did you get one product and then do a trial for the other? Or maybe you're doing a trial for both?

Hi Rose! Yes, you've got it. You can have multiple versions of Storyline installed on the same machine.
