Storyline 3 LMS issues

Jan 24, 2020

Last year we upgraded from Storyline 2 to Storyline 3. We have found that since moving to Storyline 3 our content jumps around on screen within the LMS while it is loading in order to resize itself in the LMS frame. We are using exactly the same settings as our SL2 files (except for the removal of the flash fallback). This issue occurs both with conversions from SL2 to SL3 and newly built content. The only way I can minimise the movement is to lock the player but this is not a solution as we need it to be responsive.

I have tested publishing with flash fallback in SL3 (exactly the same as our SL2 files) and the issue still occurs. I also published a piece of content using various settings and SCORM types in SL2 and they all loaded fine. I then converted this file to SL3 and did exactly the same and the resizing issue occurred. I also tested a new SL3 file in the same way and I still see this issue. There must be something different in the SL3 export that is causing this. Can anyone help?

Interesting find, Kate. I've not seen a similar issue, but I'd be happy to take a look to better understand what you're running into here.

Would you be able to share an SL2 file that I can then upgrade to SL3 to see the difference?

With your permission, you can share it publicly here, or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.
