After upgrading to IE 10 and then uninstalling and reinstalling Storyline 3, I am having issues with files that were previously working well and are still working well for my teammates. I get the red x over a slide and receive an error message when I try to preview or publish any slide or scene. Any suggestions?
Yes, Lauren, this did work. Thank you! I still had to change the slide size, reselect the correct player template, adjust several images, sliders, and interactions, reinsert the resources, etc., but still much faster than starting from scratch or copying and pasting slide by slide. Is there anything I could have done to prevent this? I have a couple of teammates who have yet to receive the upgrade and I would love to help them avoid this hurdle. Thanks again.
In simple terms, the file was corrupted so we had to create a new file on your local drive.
Always save and publish Storyline projects on your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or an external USB drive can cause erratic behavior due to latency. For example, it could cause file corruption or prevent you from saving changes.
You can place a copy of your project on a network drive or a USB drive for backup purposes, but avoid reopening the file until you've moved it back to your local hard drive.
Interesting. Our company just moved to G-Suite, but I had these files on my C drive. I will still offer this suggestion to my teammates. Thank you again.
