Storyline 3 Quiz - Hover state interfering with others.

Hi All,
I hope someone can help me with this problem.
I have a number of states for each correct answer in a quiz (all of them have the background set to 100% transparent. The hover state sets the background transparency to 80%, the selected state sets the background transparency to 0% (becomes opaque). But because the mouse is still 'hovering' over the answer when it's selected the hover state then causes the selected state to inherit it's 80% transparency.

I would ask if it was possible to disable the hover layer when an item is selected but this (4th picture) isn't the hover layer showing. It's the selected layer inheriting the transparency for some reason [and loses it's orange colour]. (Please ignore the stripes that's the background show through)
Please help :(

unfortunately that is expected behaviour, the hover state is additive. You can add a rectangle that looks same as hover state inside the hover state with entrance and exit animation which will overlay the selected state
