I have Storyline 3, version 3.3.15007 (released 3/6/18). My smaller courses (2-10 MB) are taking anywhere from 3-15 minutes to load. I gave up after 20 minutes waiting on my large file (95 MB) and never got it to load. I searched around and followed previously published tips to store on the C drive, no special characters and path name less than 260 characters. What do I need to do to gain access to my files in a faster manner?
You may also find a working version of your project in your temp files. Here's how to check:
1) Open this folder in Windows Explorer: %appdata%\Articulate\Storyline
2) Scan the contents of this folder for a file that starts with the name of your project. If you find one, copy it to your desktop. If you find more than one, copy the latest version to your desktop.
3) Change the file extension of the copy on your desktop from *.tmp to *.story.

Turns out my large file was corrupted. I'm guessing that is what was slowing the software down so much.
Hi Sherry,
I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm glad you were able to figure out the cause. Keep in mind these best practices to prevent future corruption.

4) Double-click the file to open it in Storyline.
Hope that helps!
Thank you Ashley :)
