Storyline 360 and Storyline 3 compatibility

Storyline 360 will always open Storyline 3 files, there may be times when Storyline 3 cannot open Storyline 360 files (although I think Articulate try to keep that to a minimum) and some features will not be available within Storyline 3 that were available in 360.

Thanks Phil! (Sorry for the delay getting back to you.) Are you aware of any issues of a file created in SL360 opened in SL3 but then there being issues of anything not working when placed in an LMS? I am working with folks using SL3 but would like to use SL360. But do not want to create problems down the road.

I can't think of anything specific that wouldn't work between Storyline 360 and Storyline 3 specific to your LMS instance. One thing you may want to check is any fixes applied in recent updates to Storyline 360 that have yet to be released to Storyline 3. The best way to do that would be to compare the version history for each linked below:

• Storyline 3, build 3.5.16548.0

• Storyline 360, build 3.23.17480.0

   

Storyline 3 would match up with Storyline 360 3.18.16449.0 based on their release dates.
