On occasion the Open button is replaced with Update. I definitely appreciate the updates but, sadly, I don't have admin privileges to do updates on my computer. It could be hours before IT gets here, so I'm sitting here with nothing to do except clean my office. : )
I just wanted to register a request to have the update button separate from the open button.
Thanks, Tracy. I do appreciate the suggestions. There was a time when they locked down program files as well. I just remembered what I did last time which was right click on the story file and choose Open with. That opened it fine.

That's actually a great suggestion.
But you can launch SL360 courses without the panel. (if you are in windows)
Go to your programs, find Articulate and launch from there.
Alternatively:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Articulate\360\Storyline\application.exe
