I appreciate you reaching out to share what you are experiencing when importing a PowerPoint file. That does seem to be a long time as it usually takes me a couple of minutes at the most.
You mention that it only happens some days, so it sounds like you do not always have this experience.
Do you know what version of Storyline you're using?

We are currently on Build 3.49.24347.0 of Storyline 360. You can read all of the details here.
With your permission, I'd like to look at your PowerPoint file to investigate how long an import takes. You can share it publicly here or send it to me privately by uploading it here. I'll delete it when I'm done troubleshooting.
