Storyline Assistance to Newbie with 0 Experience - Linking and Next Button
May 17, 2017
First, let me apologize for my inexperience. I have only worked in Articulate but recently inherited Storyline presentations that now need to be edited. I have figured out enough to get by without any training (which I desperately need). However, I have a 'need to be done now' situation that I cannot figure out. I hope that my lingo is correct. I have a slide that has 4 graphics on it attaching to 4 layers. After each layer, presentation is linked back to the original slide. I believe that I have the original slide linked to the scene but when I publish the presentation, it ends at the original slide with 4 graphics and the 'Next' button doesn't highlight and allow you to move forward. What am I missing? I have attached screen shots that will hopefully help.

Hi Susan--no apologies necessary! We're all learning new things everyday in this community. You've come to the right place!
Do you have a trigger to change the next button to enabled once the state of all of the icons is selected or visited? I know you're on a time crunch, so I'd love to help you with that! Can you attach your file here using the Add Attachment button?
Alyssa, thanks for responding. I attached two files. Are they not what you are looking for?
Sorry, I attached two files to my original email. Please let me know if you need to see something different.
Hi Susan
if you can share your storyline source file that will be more helpful to help us help you! It's the one with a .story file extension and then just upload as per Alyssa's post above.
Can I send this to a personal email instead of the discussion board? Our company is very sensitive about information.

Hi Susan - Were you hoping to work privately with our team or with Wendy? We can open a case on your behalf if you wish to work with our team. You can also submit it yourself privately to our support engineers here.
Thanks Leslie! I did need to work privately but wasn't sure how to do it. I've submitted a case.
No worries Susan - glad to be able to assist when I can. Looks like you did get that submitted (01078277) to our team. You should hear from someone soon and you can work privately with them via e-mail. Thank you.
Hello Susan - I popped in to check on your case this morning and it looks like Robert has reached out to assist you. You're in good hands :)
