How do I insert an interactive Captivate file into Storyline and have it ALL be compatible with iPad? The Captivate is an interactive file (that requires clicks from the user) that I need to insert into Storyline. Then, I need to be able to publish is through an LMS, and have it play (including the interactivity) on the iPad.
In your published file, this is the error message that I see:
Adobe Captivate
This browser does not support some of the content in the file you are trying to view. Use one of the following browsers:
Internet Explorer 9 or later
Safari 5.1 or later
Google Chrome 17 or later
Suzanne, yes that is a compatibility message from the Captivate file. There is a JavaScript in the Captivate html file that checks for these three browsers. That is nothing critical and , in fact, the JavaScript can be commented out without 'breaking' the Captivate HTML5 file.
Is there a way to remove the compatibility message?
Yes, the compatibility message can be removed by modifying a.js file in the Captivate output. Check the Captivate forum for details, here is some initial info.

Try this:
1. Publish your Captivate file as HTML5
2. Add a webobject in Storyline and link this web object to the Captivate's index.html
3. Publish your Storyline project for LMS including HTML5 output
4. Upload to LMS
5. Launch and pray that it works
Would that allow the Captivate to be interactive (meaning, you can click and move around in the Captivate)?
Yes, publishing the Captivate demo in HTML5 would preserve its interactivity (within the limitations of HTML5).
I just remembered, I had done a test a while back with a Captivate file running inside a Storyline project and both published in HTML5. See here.
