Storyline is not responding

Since yesterday storyline is not responding if i try to work in a slide. I work local and use windows 10. Tried all the tips on this platform as reinstall storyline, import the sheets in a new project, repair storyline... But it's still not working. As soon as i create a slide with some shapes and text fields it looks like storyline has an issue with respondings. The program get's really slow and i have to wait several minutes to load the sheet or to save it. Other programs are working fine. No idea what to do anymore. Does anyone have a solution?

Hi, Rene -- So sorry to hear of the difficulty you are experiencing, and thank you for outlining the troubleshooting steps you have already attempted to address the issue. It sounds like you could be dealing with a file that is corrupt beyond recovery. However, there may still be a working version of your project in your temp files. Here's how to check:

 1) Open this folder in Windows Explorer:
 
%appdata%\Articulate\Storyline
 
2) Scan the contents of this folder for a file that starts with the name of your project. If you find one, copy it to your desktop. If you find more than one, copy the latest version to your desktop.
 
3) Change the file extension of the copy on your desktop from *.tmp to *.story.
 
4) Double-click the file to open it in Storyline.
