Storyline issue
Feb 24, 2013
Hi,
I am working on a slide wherein I have created 3 options for a question. And on selecting each option, we get a specific feedback. (This is not built in a quiz slide).
So, once I click an option and click Submit, it takes me to another slide with the required feedback.
Now when I go back and select a different option, it somehow remembers the last feedback and shows that slide.
Though I have checked the branching and everything is fine.
Any alternatives???

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes, Priyanka!
Without seeing the course, it's difficult to see and say what's happening. However, it sounds like the slide is resuming its saved state. In Story View, when you select the slide with your questions, what are the "Revisiting" settings? Have you tried setting that option to "Reset to initial state"?
Hey thanks for looking into it. I can't send the actual file to you but here is a dummy file with a similar kinda of a thing I am trying to do.
When I select opt 1 and option 2 and then hit submit, it should take me to Com1 slide and so on.
Please suggest!
hi priyanka I have to edit your file and send to you
Thanks Prakash for your help but its still not giving the desired result. I want to select 2 options at a time and the combination of any two should take me to the required slide. e.g.,
combination of 1 and 2 > slide COM1
combination of 2 and 3 > slide COM2
combination of 3 and 1 > slide COM3
Also, it should restrict the user to select only 2 options at a given time.
Hi Priyanka,
I followed the order you provided earlier:
I admit that I took quite a bit of the original triggers and such out of the file. I attempted to set this up using states and conditions, instead. Now, the way I have it set up, if the user selects any of the two options, the final option will be disabled. If you don't like the appearance, you can always change that
I don't know if this will work exactly the way you wanted, but hopefully it'll be a step in the right direction.
Let me know what you think!
Thanks a ton Christine
This is exactly how I wanted it to be. And i was amazed to see that you didn't even use the variables!!!
Mine was a complicated one and you simplified it....thanks again for your help and I really appreciate your prompt response!
You're very welcome, Priyanka! So happy I could help.
Yes, I tend to shy away from variables if I can. I have an affinity for shapes and states
Good luck with your project and have an awesome day!
Christine
