Before publishing my story, I ticked all the boxes that would enable it to play on mobiles. However, I have just tried this using Safari and Chrome on iPhone and the video hasn't been able to play successfully.
Hi Catherine - I've noticed that my iPhone wants to install the Articulate iPad player if this option is selected when publishing, even though it isn't made for the iPhone.
I found that if I unchecked the iPad player box and just published for HTML5 I was able to get the content to playback on my iPhone.
An Articulate Mobile Player for Iphone would be great! I really hope they add this! I think it is the only way to ensure consistent courses over multiple devices/

Well, I'd add a more mature and more robust HTML5 standard and capabilities . . .

To view Storyline content on an iPhone, include HTML5 output when publishing, and launch the course in mobile Safari. There's more info here. Are those the steps you're following? Also, be sure Safari is not set to Private Browsing mode. Let us know...
Sorry for the trouble, Debbie. I assume you're using iOS 5.0 or later also, yeah? If you'd like, we'd be happy to take a closer look at it. Please submit a case, including your .story file, using this link so our support team can assist you further.
Can you tell me a little more about how you're viewing your course? Which browser are you using? Is your course playing from a web server or LMS? Which iPhone are you testing with? Thanks for any further details!
I'm viewing the course on an iPhone 5 using Chrome and Safari browsers. The course was published for web with all relevant mobile options ticked before publishing.
Also, another issue I found was when I tried to print my slide using the java script function - this appears to only work for Internet Explorer and not on other browsers. Safari 5.1.7. freezes when I try and print the slide.
We are currently evaluating Articulate, coming from Captivate as our authoring tool of choice. The simple reason is Articulate's html5/ mobile story when it comes to interactive content. I'm doing some testing with the team publishing a small mockup on a test site. Everything works perfectly on iPad (App + mobile Safari), desktop and iphone4s. The issue is iPhone 5... for example a video can be luanched but the navigation is completely missing.
I don't recall seeing many issues specific to iPhone 5, but we'd be interested to take a closer look into it. Do you have a link to the published course you can share, or a file you can upload to us for testing?
Thanks for your quick response, I've opened a case and uploaded the project files as suggested. I'll be sure to share the answer here once the issue has been located if that would be helpful to others.
OK some more input on this. We did some additional testing on the iPhone 5 and it appears that the issue was affecting one handset but not the other... strange as they were both on latest iOS 6.1.2.
What we have found though is that you are not able to zoom on the player on the iPhone screen which makes reading content quite difficult but this is mostly down to form factor limitation I guess.
I have further questions about Android support and the ability to export slides as individual objects so we can publish them and use our LMS/ site for navigation. This is off topic on this thread though so I'll look for an appropriate place to post

I'm with Gerry - +1!
That works for me too
I couldn't help but notice that no Articulate staff members have weighed in on this very important topic.
Good thing is that HTML5 output does work on the iPhone, and as the standard matures and browser compatibility improves things will only get better.
Articulate normally doesn't divulge too much about upcoming version features. If you would like to make a product suggestion to include an iPhone player app, you could suggest a feature here: http://www.articulate.com/support/contact/submit.php?form=feature
Hi Everyone
I am also trying SL so we can offer viewing in ipad and iphone, but so far no joy - with iphone at least :-(
I have just got an iphone so I can test this and am not able to get anything published in SL to load, just the never ending loading circles.
Anyone had this and managed a 'cure'?
I published to scorm and checked html5 output as well, but not the ipad app.

Hi Peter
Thanks for the reply, I can confirm I have done the steps as you list.
I include html5 when publishing, I am using Safari and private browsing is set to off.
I am publishing to scorm and then uploading it to moodle - the presentations do load when viewing on Android, just not iphone.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Hi Peter
Thanks for your reply, I can confirm the phone is on iOS6.
I will submit a case and see if they can provide a solution - thanks again
Hi,
Some of my videos play on the iPhone and some don't. I've complied with the video size as stated here http://www.articulate.com/support/kb_article.php?product=st1&id=hb3oxvljqzmz but still no luck. I'm not sure why it plays for some and not others - can someone please help?
Thanks,
Catherine

Thanks for the additional info, Catherine. Would you mind opening a ticket and sending us the .story file so we can take a closer look? Thanks!
