Storyline Player Resources List Not Displaying Properly Sees Up Down Arrows Instead
Mar 01, 2019
Hello. A learner encountered an issue when viewing a Storyline module in LMS. Instead of being shown a list of links after clicking the Resources tab on the Storyline Player, they got Up/Down arrows (see attachment). The list does not open up over the course, but looks like it expands to a single row forcing the learner to scroll Up/Down to access the links. Compounding the issue is that the text list is mostly hidden from the user so they cannot read the list of items either.
Could the issue been caused due to too long of a text string in either the Description section or Title of the link under the Resources section (entered in the Storyline Player)?
Module created on Storyline 2 Update 6: 1507.2315.
Published to LMS SCORM 1.2.
User System: Win 10.
User Viewing Module in IE 11.
This is the first time we encountered this issue, but would like to correct the problem if there is a solution.
Much Thanks.

Hi Scott,
I'd start by downloading and installing the latest update of Storyline 2 update 13, as Update 6 was from quite some time ago!
Also, I'd suggest confirming you're viewing the Flash output in IE11 since that version of Storyline doesn't support the HTML5 output in that browser.
Ashley,
Much Thanks! I will update and check users system for latest flash update. Since this was an isolated incident I hope this will correct the problem.
Thanks.

Sounds great, Scott. Just let us know if you need any further help :)
It looks like your email signature came through when you replied via email. You can remove that if needed by clicking ‘Edit’ beneath your response. Here’s a quick Peek video if you need help.
How many links, attachments, etc. can the RESOURCES section hold?
Hi Lynda,
I haven't come across any documented limitations in the Resources section, but I also haven't tried to test the upper limits of that section either!
If you have several documents to add, you can perhaps consider zipping files together as an option!
