I am a new Storyline user AND a new LMS user. I have published to a Moodle site with success, however, when I open the file, the view of the Story is half cut off on the viewing area. I assume I must choose a smaller screen format? I need simple instructions how to change my story file (or is it too late?). Any advice would be appreciated. /mj
What are you setting the Moodle resource to launch? Did you output for LMS or output for the web? I have found sometimes that if SCORM tracking is not needed it is better to publish in Storyline for the web and then the Moodle resource is set to launch the story.html file. Is that how you did it?
I published for LMS and inserted the file with SCORM, though I do not require tracking. Are you recommending that I upload the web zipped file? There are multiple options in Moodle to create an activity or resource. Which would I choose? I've attached the choices in case you are not familiar with Moodle.
Yes, I work with Moodle and Storyline all the time, so this is what I have found most helpful if you are not needing to track course activity with SCORM modules. Publish for web in Storyline and then create a zip package. In Moodle select "File" as the resource you want to add. Then drag the zip file into that window for the file you are uploading. Once uploaded, double click the zip package to unzip it. Then you'll see the story.html file visible. Then double click on that file and select "set main file". That means Moodle will launch the story.html file when the resource is clicked. That should work just fine.
Success! I wasn't sure which html to set as main file so I clicked on two of them. See attached.
Except that it is now smaller than the canvas and you don't quite see all the slide and you miss some of the supporting text boxes as they fade in/out. And you have to scroll over if you want to use the menu or transcript. But- much better than the LMS version.
I happened to be speaking with Raye at Yukon Learning today and she suggested to "unlock" and allow to scale to user's browser. I resaved, published to LMS and uploaded again to Moodle. While not a large display, everything is now there.
I will look at your other information Christie for future.
I now have a usable learning object in instructional design for my portfolio when I defend my thesis! Whoo-whoo!
Many thanks for the update, Mary Jane! And it sounds like Raye and I were on the same track, as the instructions to Changing the Browser Settings and Player Size shared above are actually the instructions for what she recommended, so that's great!
Please feel free to let us know if there is anything more you need and we'll be happy to assist! :)

I can't thank you enough for your help!
What is your story size. It should size correctly if it is at 720 X 540.
Hi, Mary Jane -- Looks like Whitney is helping you out here! In addition to his suggestions, I wanted to ask if you have had a chance to take a look at this information on Choosing a Story Size, as well as Changing the Browser Settings and Player Size? You may also find this info on Publishing for LMS to be of assistance, as well. :)
Hi Whitney and Christie -
I happened to be speaking with Raye at Yukon Learning today and she suggested to "unlock" and allow to scale to user's browser. I resaved, published to LMS and uploaded again to Moodle. While not a large display, everything is now there.

Thank you to both of you for coming to my rescue!
