Storyline Question Feedback - Highlight Correct Choice?

Jan 17, 2018

Hi there!  I was hoping someone might know the answer to this question.  Is it possible to highlight the correct answer choice (choices) when a learner answers a knowledge check question incorrectly?  I'm thinking there may be a way to trigger a state change of the radio/checkbox within the incorrect feedback layer... maybe?

Currently, we have been using a shape placed on the incorrect layer to highlight the correct answer choice, but unfortunately this requires that we not shuffle the answer choices which adds another step on our end to manually mix up the choices from one question to the next.

Any answers/ideas are appreciated.  Thank you!

Laura,

Have you tried the following? For example, if you have a multiple choice answer...

Which of the following is not a mammal?

( ) Chimpanzee

( ) Dolphin

( ) Humans

( ) Fish (hint hint)

For each of these potential answers, create a state called "FEEDBACK". Then, change the background color to RED for the wrong answers and green for the correct one.    next,  on the Incorrect layer, create triggers to change the state to FEEDBACK when the timeline starts.  This should work even if the answers are shuffled.

I've attached a quick mockup in Articulate 360.
